Walks

Club walks check spots in person

A walk leader schedules a walk with a list of stops. At each stop, volunteers check the spot in person, fill in a checklist and add photos.

The walk screen has a Walk SOS button. It sends the location to everyone on the walk and the club lead, then opens the phone dialler on 112. After the walk, each person confirms they reached home.

Seasons

Seasons and the leaderboard

Clubs earn points when a member's report is approved, when they verify a spot and when a spot their members reported or verified is sent to an agency or fixed.

The leaderboard ranks clubs by week, month, quarter or Rotary year. A season is a named challenge between two dates, counted on one measure such as spots fixed, verifications or walks completed. Sign in to see both.

Recognition

Certificates for volunteer hours

Club leads and the district team issue PDF certificates of volunteer hours. Hours include club walks, spot checks, buddy line duty, buddy calls answered and confirmed fixes, counted once even where they overlap.

Each certificate has a code. Anyone can check it on the website: it shows the name, club, period, hours and issue date, or says if the certificate was revoked.

At the spot

QR posters at the spot

Walk leaders and coordinators print an A4 poster for a reported spot and put it up there. It downloads as a PDF with a QR code.

People who feel unsafe at that place can scan it and add their voice. The poster carries no names, notes or photos, and says "In danger now? Call 112."

The District behind it
